The project

Shanab Pharma is an e-commerce platform focused on providing customers with a streamlined online shopping experience. The project involved modernizing the existing application, improving core purchasing functionality, and preparing the platform for a more scalable and maintainable architecture.

What was built

A central part of the modernization was migrating the frontend from Qwik to Astro. The platform integrates Strapi for content management and Vendure for e-commerce functionality. Major enhancements included a redesigned checkout process, an improved customer account area with order history and shipment tracking, and infrastructure optimizations using Varnish caching and imgproxy for efficient image delivery.

My role

I worked as a full-stack developer, contributing to the frontend migration, implementing new shopping and account management features, and extending existing Strapi and Vendure functionality. My responsibilities also included adapting product pricing logic and improving the platform's performance and technical maintainability.
